Sahithi Foundation is a social service, non-profit making organization formed in 2012 as a trust. Sahithi Foundation a well known organization in Telangana and Andhrapradesh States of India. It is a symbol of Rural Development, Education, compassionate response to the living conditions of the disadvantaged population of Telangana and Andhrapradesh states in the absence of basic services of qualitative education and healthcare, adequate employment and food security, effective governance and empowerment, resulting into the low social, economic and political status.
The organization is involved in various socio-economic development programmes such as Child Labour Rehabilitation, Eye Care Services, Income Generating Programmes, Promotion of Self Help Groups and other Community based organizations, People’s Institutions, Savings and Credit, Community Based Rehabilitation of the Differently Abled, Safe Drinking Water, Health and Sanitation, Policy Advocacy on Child Rights, Child Sponsorship, Non-Formal and Supplementary Education such as Non- Residential Bridge schools and Bridge Schools and Inclusive Education, HIV/AIDS, establish libraries, old age homes, orphan homes, and etc. SF has a long history of rural development activities, handicraft development activities and science popularization and science communication activities in the states of Telangana and Andhrapradesh. From the last five years FF has been associating with various Government and CSR Organizations and academic Institutions and several others and we have been conducting various skill development workshops for the development of Women, Youth and Weaker sections. We have been conducting several Workshops, Exhibitions and Conferences for the benefit of unemployed man & women.
We draw inspiration for our work from the lives and works of two extraordinary individuals, who shaped the destiny of India. Swamy Vivekananda (1863 – 1902), the outstanding thinker, humanitarian and nationalist of 19Th century India.
Avul Pakir Jainulabdeen Abdul Kalam ( 1931 – 2015), was an aerospace scientist who served as 11th President of India from 2002 to 2007

The Sahithi Foundation seeks to build progressive self-reliant rural communities, with a holistic approach, by providing services in the areas of healthcare, environment, sanitation, primary education, adult literacy and skills development.
The SFN is to empower underprivileged children, youth and women through relevant education, innovative healthcare and market focused livelihood programmes and to create a platform for sustainable rural transformation.
The Livelihood of the poor is to improve substantly through education, health, rural development and services activities for income and food security.
Our Leaders or mentors at Sahithi Foundation Ngo do the same for us. An initial push, some guidance when needed, a sharing of knowledge gained through years of experience—our Leaders or mentors work pro bono to help further our cause and to help us realise our full potential, individually and as an organisation.
Rather than learning through trial and error, these stalwarts of industry provide our team with a safe space to explore our abilities and opportunities. At the same time, we can look towards them for direction and as role models. They help shape our present situation and also mould our future opportunities.
Sahithi Foundation has evolved a working model Social Venture Philanthropy (SVP) which is based on the successful business model of “Venture Capital”.
Social Venture Philanthropy, the application of a hitherto successful business concept to the social and development sector: a concept which pertains to linking social investment strategies to charitable giving with a clear focus on achieving scalability and sustainability, creating a culture of leadership and excellence and inculcating a deep sense of accountability amongst the nonprofits.
Sahithi Foundation underscores the fact that helping is not simply a matter of dispersing money but of making a deep, long-term commitment and casting a hard eye on results. Under the Social Venture Philanthropy (SVP) model, Sahithi Foundation identifies handholds and builds capacities of genuine grassroots NGOs to achieve accountability, sustainability, scalability, leadership. Through the SVP model, Sahithi Foundation makes an effort to broad base investment in order to maximize its reach and optimize returns by approaching and strengthening a large number of like-minded individuals and organizations globally.
Sahithi Foundation provides seed money for launch of new projects, expansion of old projects, and also emphasizes on regular counseling, better productivity, efficiency enhancement and capacity building of grassroots NGO’s, communication and process of Good Governance.
Following a lifecycle approach, Sahithi Foundation works intensively through focused welfare projects in four major areas – child education, healthcare for families, skills training and livelihood for youth, and community engagement through women empowerment.
So far, we have been able to directly impact the lives of over 10000 people from last 9 years
