Vintage Gold Tone Latin Cross Pendant Or Brooch Pin Red Stone & Enamel - Gothic

Gorgeous pendant/pin. You can wear it on a necklace or you can use it as a lapel pin. It has a central red enamel “stone” set within a gold-toned bezel.
It has enamel work or painted details in shades of green, blue & mauve, forming a leaf-fancy or stylized design on the arms of the cross.
The overall form is that of a Latin cross, which is a common Christian symbol representing the crucifixion of Jesus Christ. It is not a traditional crucifix (which would have the body of Christ). Instead, it is likely a stylistic interpretation intended to represent faith, hope, or other Christian values. The leaves could symbolize recent growth and the renewal of life associated with the resurrection.
